With the advent of self assessment, the responsibility for informing HM Revenue & Customs about each individual, partnership and trust has been thrust upon the individual. Each return is based on income and allowable expenses for the year ending the 5th April. The deadline for submission of these returns is:
a) 31st October for paper filing of returns
b) 31st January for online filing
The correct completion of the self assessment return, despite the HM Revenue & Customs adverts, is not straightforward. Burrow & Crowe have a personal tax department which will take the worry away by compiling the return on your behalf.
We will contact you and provide a comprehensive checklist to help you gather the information together. Once the information is received we will process the return on our software. The return then undergoes a full review by both our staff and our comprehensive tax system, ensuring that advantage is taken of the various allowances available. Once the return is agreed and signed.
